Situated in a rural location Le Pajare provides a relaxing venue at all times of the year, the nearest beach is the holiday resort of Lido Marini just 7 minutes by car (transfers to/from the beach provided by the hotel) The beach at Lido Marini is famous for it’s 3kms of golden sand and crystal clear water, awarded a Blue Flag.

The nearest built-up area is the Town of Presicce (about 4 km) open all year with the ‘ancient village of hypogeum’, which is rich in wonderful mansions and palaces (built in 500ad) where you can admire the famous Leccese baroque, and the hypogeum oil-mill, in its historical city centre, the churches with their artistic patrimony, the rustic civilisation museum

Going along the Ionic sea coast road towards the South is the town of Santa Maria di Leuca (about 18 km) and towards the North is the City of Gallipoli (about 25 km). The Major town of the province is, Lecce, 60 km and the City of Otranto is 45 km.

At a distance of 3 km (towards the South) you can visit a small natural harbour called Torre Pali (it belongs to the city of Salve) and the beautiful beach with sand dunes of the famous village of Pescoluse; in Torre Vado, 5-6 km, there is a small tourist harbour; while towards the North, going along about 4 km there is another fishing harbour in Torre San Giovanni this resort also has wonderful fine white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue sea. Fishing trips and boat excursions are available from these ports.

Between Lido Marini and Torre San Giovanni, there are small salt lakes where you can admire cormorant and flamingo colonies.

In the neighbouring village of Ugento (6 km) you can visit the archaeological and pale ontological civic museum of Mesapic and Roman Age.

At a distance of 3 km there is an airfield for tourist light aircraft.
